Lay Planter Training: How to Launch New Ministries in Your Church
Churches across the annual conference are continuing to find faithful ways to be God’s people even in a pandemic. With potential vaccines just around the corner and the possibility of returning to our in-person gatherings in 2021, now is the time to dream God’s dream for the church. What new ministries can emerge as the pandemic begins to ease? How might this be an opportunity to launch a new ministry to grow the church and serve our world?
The Lay Planter Training is designed to help LAYPEOPLE vision, plan, and launch new ministries. The six-month online course can be structured at any pace. You will discover how to innovate, launch, and lead new ministries. The training is designed to serve any of these needs:
- Launching new ministries in an existing local church. These new ministries can serve those already in the community of faith and/or those in communities surrounding our churches.
- Participating in a leadership team of a new church being launched around our annual conference. If you are part of new church leadership team, this training will help you support and encourage your new congregation.
- Certified Lay Ministers (CLM) seeking advanced training or to become a Lay Planting Specialist.
